TO DIE

Close your eyes. I invite you to die. It's not that complicated. You do it every night.

Get some rest. Close the store.

You've spent your whole life showing off all your charms and skills so that people will love you, so you'll be recognized, so you'll feel secure. Waiting for another pat on the back, waiting for that exchange of glances, waiting for something to happen that will stir you up—WAITING.

I know that deep down, it's not the money that matters to you, but that need to feel secure.

I know it's not good health that you long for, but your desire to feel ALIVE.

I know it's not affection you're looking for, but rather a place where you can feel loved, valued, and worthy.

Close your eyes. I invite you to die. It's not that complicated. You do it every night.

Rest. Close the tent. If you choose to, when you open your eyes, the need to spread yourself thin, to strive, to be someone will disappear.

And a new space will come, with its own power, with all its abundance of wonderful things. Today a smile, tomorrow perhaps a tear. Today a hug, tomorrow perhaps a distance. Today a “Yes,” tomorrow perhaps a “No.”

Everything is just right in this store.

You no longer need to hide this or reject that. You no longer need to beg for security, life, or affection.

You are security, you are life, you are Love.

Close your eyes. I invite you to die. It's not that complicated. You do it every night.

Rest. Close the tent. Only you can surrender to the abyss of giving your heart over to the unknown. Only you can open yourself up to plunging into the fears that lead you to beg.

Love is always waiting; it always will be, always in this moment—the only moment.

Now open your eyes. I invite you to LIVE. It's not that complicated. You do it every night. You do it with every death.
